Skorupski to Crystal Palace?

Crystal Palace will be without their best player, Wilfried Zaha, for up to a month after the Ivorian worldwide picked up an injury in the opening-day defeat to Huddersfield Town.

Zaha was pictured with his right knee in a brace after receiving some rough treatment in Saturday's bruising 3-0 defeat to Huddersfield.

But the damage is enough to potentially see Zaha miss the next four matches - an worldwide break at the start of September actually limits the number - and he will sit out Saturday's visit to Liverpool.

The 24-year-old would also miss Ivory Coast's World Cup qualifying double-header with Gabon on September 2 and 5.

Zaha had hoped the injury was not too serious and that he would be available to feature on Saturday when Palace travel to Liverpool.

Losing Zaha, who scored seven goals and provided 11 assists last season, would be a hammer blow to Palace and their new boss.

That means the livewire forward is definitely out of this weekend's trip to Anfield and the Eagles' following Premier League fixture at home to Swansea City.

The Belgian teenager Jason Lokilo - who has made several appearances during pre-season - signed a new contract on Monday, although with Connor Wickham still yet to return from a long-term knee injury, Palace are lacking in attacking options.
