Total War: Warhammer II was originally announced back in March to feature four playable races.

Their two heroes, Queek Headtaker and Lord Skrolk, will set out to lead them to greatness, trying to fulfil a prophecy to bring pestilence to the New World as they burst out from their subterranean under-hives.

Okay, so we've all known this was going to happen since the initial launch trailer, but here's the official announcement at last.

Alongside the digital edition, an extremely rare Serpent God collector's edition for Total War: WARHAMMER IIis also available for pre-order. The developer has promised to release an update in the future that will combine the campaign maps from both Total War: Warhammer and the sequel to create one giant environment for players to skirmish in.

We got a chance to preview Total War: Warhammer 2 at E3 2017. Developed and published by Creative Assembly and Sega, respectively, the game received mostly-favorable reviews and is the fastest selling Total War game to date (half a million copies in the first few days).
