The decision to do so suggests the Jaguars are at least considering the possibility they'll have to turn to Henne as a better option than struggling Blake Bortles.

Allen led a late rally with reserves playing for both teams, throwing a touchdown pass to fullback Marquez Williams early in the fourth quarter then leading a late drive that ended with an incomplete pass into the end zone to wide receiver Rashad Greene on fourth-and-goal from the Buccaneers 2 with 1:25 remaining.

The Jacksonville Jaguars will be hosting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers tonight inside EverBank Field and the game will be televised at 7:00 PM on ESPN. Robinson got loose downfield but Bortles underthrew him.

Jacksonville, which wants to be a power run team, ran seven times for minus a yard in the opening half.

Bortles completed eight of 13 passes for 65 yards and no touchdowns with no interceptions Thursday; Henne completed six of 10 passes for 44 yards and no touchdowns with no interceptions. Let's focus on the defensive front, though, because that was supposed to be one of the defense's strengths.

The Buccaneers played without two starters: cornerback Brent Grimes (leg laceration) and linebacker Devante Bond (sprained knee).

The Buccaneers' first possession was an 11-play, 83-yard march, capped by Doug Martin's 2-yard touchdown run.

That guy could start: Other than Henne, there weren't any reserves who made a push to crack the starting line. But there's no guarantee Robinson would have caught an accurate pass. It wasn't a great throw - slightly behind - but he has caught pretty much everything in camp. Although the game doesn't really count, it was a great opportunity for the Bucs' coaching staff to evaluate the entire team as a whole and determine what areas the franchise needs to work on the next few weeks before the Bucs face the Dolphins in primetime action and the regular season officially kicks off. That's significant because Leonard Fournette already is dealing with a sore foot and did not play against the Bucs. The third-year pro missed field goal tries of 50 and 53 yards against the Patriots in the preseason opener. Beckwith was starting in place of Devonte Bond, who missed the game with an injury.

Nick Folk was two-for-three on the night, connected from 35 and 29 yards but missing from 47.
