A 16-year-old boy allegedly fell off the terrace of his building in northwest Delhi's Ashok Vihar in a case of attempted suicide. He had left behind his slippers, spectacles and mobile phone before jumping off, the police said.

The deadly Blue Whale game has caught the fancy of school children in Lucknow.

According to a leading daily, while referring to the suicides which took place in Russian Federation - where the game is said to be originated from - IGP said that a tutor had established direct contact with potential players over social media platforms, and goaded them to take up tasks fatal to the gamers. The boy was recently admitted to a new school which could be a possible reason behind his alleged suicide bid as he was "upset" with the change, the officer said.

"During our investigation so far, the role of "Blue Whale Challenge" has not been established", said Milind Dumbere, DCP (north west).

Addressing the media at "c0c0n X - 2017", IGP and the nodal officer of Cyberdome, Manoj Abraham said that the experts have not come across even a single administrator of the game.

Those present at the conference also highlighted how no agencies, including foreign probe agencies, had found any link between the game and suicides that purportedly were a result of the game.
