In total, eight executives have left the manufacturing council.

The CEOs of Under Armour Inc (NYSE:UA,UAA) and Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) are the latest to resign from President Donald Trump's Manufacturing Council. But she said "now I will not" talk to the president after a news conference in which Trump equated violence by white supremacists at the rally with violence by those protesting the rally.

President Trump used an exclamation point to end his sentence and wrote the "lower ripoff drug prices" phrase in all capital letters, a move that means a person is typically yelling their statement.

The response, and the speed in which it arrived, caught many off guard.

Four executives have left the Trump administration's American Manufacturing Council following the president's failure to immediately condemn the violent protests by white nationalists that occurred in Charlottesville, Virginia over the weekend.

"I resigned from the council to call attention to the serious harm our divided political climate is causing to critical issues...", Intel Chief Executive Brian Krzanich said in a blog post.

Then on Monday evening, Trump tweeted about Frazier's company a second time, again referencing drug prices.

Here's what Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank has to say about the decision.

He said his company promotes unity, diversity and inclusion.

Drugmakers have come under withering criticism for soaring prices in the US, including by Trump, though he has yet to act on a promise to contain them.

Even former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney jumped on the Trump-bashing bandwagon, demanding that the president admit he was wrong and apologize for statements. It claims GE announced its intention to withdraw to other members of the council this morning, prior to Trump's disbandment of it.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk resigned from the manufacturing council in June, and two other advisory groups to the president, after the US withdrawal from the Paris climate agreement.

The council is supposed to meet occasionally to share insights with the president on job growth.

The manufacturing jobs council had 28 members initially, but it has shrunk since it was formed earlier this year as executives retire, are replaced, or, as with Frazier, Musk, Plank and Krzanich, resign. "He knows only one mode: When attacked, hit back harder".
