Pilgrims From Kaduna In Saudi Arabia-Board

Kaduna - No fewer than 6,205 pilgrims from Kaduna State have been transported to Saudi Arabia for the 2017 Hajj, the State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has said.

An estimated 2 million Muslims make the pilgrimage to Makkah annually. Gen. Jamaan al-Ghamdi stressed that his country does not discriminate between pilgrims; instead, it takes care of everyone and provides them with all services possible.

There have been also preventions for Lebanese Shiite people.

"Each year, if Saudis encounter a political problem with an establishment or government, they relate these political disputes to Hajj rituals, the best example and firm evidence of this is obvious in their behavior towards the Qatari rulers and the Qatari Hajj pilgrims".

Qatar said Tuesday it is anxious hajj pilgrims from the emirate face being badly treated if they travel to Saudi Arabia as the row over arrangements for the religious event intensified.

Some of the pilgrims who spoke with AIT's Rasheed Olanrewaju at the hajj camp in port hacourt said prayers for President Buhari and other Nigerian leaders will top their programs during the exercise.

"We have sovereign wealth funds of 250 per cent of gross domestic product, we have Qatar Central Bank reserves, and we have a ministry of finance strategic reserve", Finance Minister Ali Sharif al-Emadi said, according to The Australian.

Speaking with reporters after the visit, Nigeria's Charge de Affairs in Jeddah, Umar Salisu, said immediately after the incident was reported, NAHCON filed a formal complaint to Saudi Arabian Hajj authorities in Madinah demanding action. "For example, the Arab countries like Egypt or Islamic countries like Iran and Turkey should decide about it or all these countries should jointly adopt the decisions", Abdulsalam Lotf, another Yemeni citizen noted.
