Star Wars: The Last Jedi: Two New First Order Vehicles Revealed

On today's episode of The Star Wars Show, Lucasfilm's officially-produced web series, the hosts announced two new vehicles that will appear in The Last Jedi. The Megacaliber Six name comes from the laser cannon of that designation that's on its back. "And while an AT-AT might move like an elephant, the AT-M6 has a more simian-like gait, which helps it stabilize the cannon".

"The Dreadnought is a mandatory four-class warship and has two enormous orbital auto cannons, which can be used for larger-scale bombardments". The ship is 7669 meters long (25,000 feet) and features 24 point defense anti-aircraft cannons.

Check out more images in the video below, and tell us which of these new additions to the First Order's ominous arsenal you'd like to captain yourself.

Earlier this summer, The Last Jedi writer-director Rian Johnson unveiled some behind-the-scenes footage at D23, and fans immediately fixated on one particularly cute creature.

Another difference, as you can see above, is the difference in the vehicles front legs. (Update: Our own Ethan Anderton just floated the theory to me that the First Order Dreadnought may actually be the Mega Star Destroyer, so that's also a possibility.) We better wish Finn, Poe, Rose, Rey, and the rest of our heroes good luck, because it sounds like they'll need it.

Earth-shattering explosions that rip apart space stations are old hat for the Star Wars universe.
