"Star Wars: Episode IX" was originally supposed to be released on that day but has been postponed for seven months after Colin Trevorrow left the movie and was replaced by J.J Abrams.

The film was initially scheduled to arrive in May of the same year, but due to recent behind-the-scenes complications the producers have made the decision to give the new director a little breathing space with which to finalise his cut of the film.

The live-action version of Disney's Aladdin has set a 2019 release date.

Bear in mind, these dates are thus far only confirmed for United States cinemas, but Disney have been good for getting their films out at the same time internationally.

The remake of "Aladdin" has an impressive cast including Will Smith as The Genie, Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine, and Marwan Kanzari as the villain Jafar.

"Charlie and The Chocolate Factory" writer John August has penned the script for the musical movie, which is believed to be non-linear in its structure, something that is a hallmark of Ritchie's early work on movies like "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" and "Snatch". Aladdin will this time also feature two new songs from Dear Evan Hansen and La La Land songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.
