LTE is exclusive to the Sports variant. The Sports (Bluetooth) will be available exclusively on Amazon India from September 13 whereas the other two variants can be bought offline as well. The company has introduced all the three variants - Huawei Watch 2, Huawei Watch 2 Classic and Huawei Watch 2 4G.

Huawei unveiled its Watch 2 wearable back at MWC 2017 in February this year and on Wednesday the company finally launched its new wearable in India. It is powered by 1.1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 chipset coupled with a 768MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage. The device does feature a circular display with customisable watch faces. Huawei Watch 2 is compatible with Android and iOS devices. While its predecessor was universally loved among the Android Wear smartwatches, Watch 2 has underwhelmed the reviewers. With customer and market insights, the newly launched WATCH 2 is focused on creating a standalone experience for consumers owing to its smart connected technology. "Truly next generation in every aspect", said P Sanjeev, Vice- President, Sales, Huawei Consumer Business Group while speaking on the launch. The Watch 2 comes with built-in sensors that can help track heart rate, calories burnt, distance traversed and various activities like running, jogging, and walking.

The highlight of the Huawei Watch 2 is the SIM card slot supporting a nano SIM. It can suggest users to accelerate or decelerate their run based of calculated data set. Huawei Watch 2 also measures your Resting Heart Rate, which is recorded in the activity monitor app. With the built in GPS system, users can use apps like Uber, Foursquare and Facebook Messenger. The Watch 2 has a classical wristwatch design that integrates its smart features and sports functions. It sports a chronograph design, and there's a ceramic bezel. It is an update to the original Huawei Watch that was announced past year.

Some of the other features offered by the Huawei Watch 2 include touch control, intelligent speech recognition, and voice instructions. The battery in Huawei Watch 2 is said to last for two days with regular use, up to 10 hours in "training mode" and up to three weeks in "watch mode".
