Jose Adolis Garcia hit a walk-off two-run homer with two outs in the 11th inning, as the Memphis Redbirds defeated the El Paso Chihuahuas 2-0 on Thursday.

Tyler O'Neill was 1-for-2 with two walks, and he also made a spectacular catch into the centerfield wall to save a run.

Memphis needed one more win to clinch the title. His lone blemish was a solo home run in the fifth inning.

Redbirds came into the game with the series lead at 2 games to one.

Lockett turned in five shutout innings in his first Pacific Coast League appearance since May, Franchy Cordero homered and the Chihuahuas scored a 3-0 win to remain alive in the Pacific Coast League Championship Series. The Redbirds were shut out earlier in the playoffs in Game 2 against Colorado Springs but scored 15 runs the following day. Right-hander Jacob Nix will start Saturday's Game 4 against Memphis right-hander Zac Gallen. The victor of the PCL plays the Durham Bulls (Rays), the victor of the International League, in the winner-take-all Gilden Triple-A National Championship Game, which will be played Tuesday in Scranton, Pa.
