Goode's Apple Watch Series 3, apparently had trouble handing off the Wi-Fi connection from her iPhone 8 to the cellular LTE network. The Apple Watch which has an integrated eSIM feature will support both LTE and UMTS connectivity, the company said.

It is not yet known when Apple might release the software patch for their Watch Series 3's LTE connectivity problems. Eventually, Apple provided The Verge with a statement about the issue, acknowledging the headlining feature of its latest wearable isn't working properly.

"We have discovered that when Apple Watch Series 3 joins unauthenticated Wi-Fi networks without connectivity, it may at times prevent the watch from using cellular", a spokesperson for Apple wrote, adding that a fix is being prepared in an upcoming patch.

Hopefully it will be an easy software fix, and one that Apple can roll out by Friday of this week. So if you're an AT&T Unlimited Plus or AT&T Unlimited Choice customer, your Apple Watch Series 3 data will also be unlimited, but if you're on an AT&T Mobile Share Advantage plan, the data from the Watch will count against your monthly bucket.

Apple Watch Series 3 will be available on September 22. I downloaded an update on my phone and updated the watch overnight.

Right now, the Heart Rate app in the Apple Watch reads your current heart rate.and that's pretty much it.

The watch doesn't require a new data plan, but an add-on to existing plans. "Poor Dick, he upgraded to the cellular version of the Apple Watch Series 3". The Watch grabs a random mix of songs based on your favourites and most played, and Apple Music subscribers will also get personalised mixes from the cloud.

Apple said the watch can experience LTE connectivity problems when it connects to open wi-fi networks the user has visited before, such as a hotel or a coffee shop. "But whether you're a hyper-connected hyper-marathoner, or just looking for a few minutes away from the attention-sucking din of your iPhone, this is the first Watch that really works".

Now the first reviews of the Apple Watch Series 3 are starting to trickle in and, while they are generally positive, they highlight a couple of issues. Specifically, of the Series 3 model with an LTE connection.

Speaking on ABC's Good Morning America (GMA), Cook argued that the cost is totally reasonable when accounting "for the technology that you're getting". But if it appeals to you, the Apple Watch Series 3 is the way to go.

Apple's newly announced devices come with glass backs and have Qi wireless charging technology. But Apple has managed to add LTE without increasing the size of the Watch or hurting battery life. But once you get used to having your phone with you at all times, you get used to feeling that if anyone needs you, they can get you.
