Collins dustup doesn't dim Ebron's 'special' night

"I was pissed off", Ebron told The Detroit News. So, unless the two teams finish in the same place in their respective divisions or square off in the playoffs, Ebron and Collins won't see each other until 2019. "I was pissed off at that little punk of a safety they've got over there". Ebron, who had seven catches for 42 yards and a touchdown in the game, told The Detroit News he didn't pull out a celebration after the score because he was "pissed off" about a hard hit Collins had delivered on him earlier in the game.

But when he was asked why he didn't celebrate after catching a touchdown pass, Ebron had some words for Collins that were far from complimentary.

"Be a bully... Still zero catches on me between those lines", he wrote above a tweet with a link to the story.

"Lol... twitter fingers", Ebron wrote.

There doesn't appear to be much reason behind Ebron's Collins-Mathieu comparison besides the two sharing a career course as elite college defensive backs from the SEC who have each made it to the Pro Bowl in the NFL. But Collins wasn't belaboring the semantics. I'm going to hit you. "This is football...#lockdown".

Instead, he simply flipped the ball in the air, still thinking about a big hit he had received from Giants safety Landon Collins on the previous possession.

Whatever Ebron's underlying meaning behind the playful insult, the University of North Carolina product still thinks highly of the Giants star. "I wasn't in that kind of joyful mood". It was still a good game. He played his butt off trying to guard me.
