This week, Ellen DeGeneres invited former Fox News journalist Megyn Kelly onto her show, and the discussion unsurprisingly revolved around the current President of the United States...

DeGeneres was speaking to her guest, NBC commentator Megyn Kelly, about Kelly's new morning show. "And for me to have someone on the show, I really, I have to at least admire them in some way, and I can't have someone that I feel is not only unsafe for the country and for me personally as a gay woman but to the world".

"Just as I was wondering where I wanted to be and what I wanted to do, the universe came and showed ... me what I wanted to do", she added. Along with the show, DeGeneres is also known for movies like "Finding Nemo" and "Finding Dory". She concluded that to have someone on her show, she has to admire the person at least a little.

Her probing questions during interviews and the 2016 Republican primary debates earned wide-ranging praise, while many critics argued that the Fox News host's newfound popularity among liberals papered over her history of racially-fraught segments. "I just wanted to cover the news". To promote the new show, NBC has scheduled interviews for her on daytime television and in People magazine in an effort to soften her persona. Megyn hasn't had the best relationship with President Trump either.

In May, Ellen had told Today show host Matt Lauer that she would not host Trump on her talk show as she would not be able to change his mind.
