"Now we have to play three games, and it's possible to pick him for these games".

"Yeah, he's fit and it was a minor accident yesterday, he's fit and available Stoke." said Conte, who was impressed by the performances of Charly Musonda and Kenedy against Nottingham Forest.

"It's great he got a hat-trick".

With Kurt Zouma ineligible to face his parent club and Kevin Wimmer out injured, Stoke fielded a patched-up defence that included Glen Johnson as part of the back three.

Morata scored in the first minute of the encounter for Chelsea with a brilliant finish.

Although the finish was simple, the striker exhibited his fine movement off the ball five minutes later as he slipped his marker to find space to tap in Azpilicueta's knockdown, the fourth time Morata's global teammate has assisted him this season.

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting had a penalty claim turned down after blocked by Cahill while the defender was on the ground at the corner of the box, before Courtois received treatment after an awkward landing from an aerial duel.

On Saturday Conte's words were more prosaic but equally heartfelt.

Chelsea have won eight of their last nine league away games (L1), their best run over a nine game period on the road since September 2009 when they also won eight and lost one. "A good test and challenge for us".

In other games, Everton recovered from a goal to inflict a 2-1 defeat on AFC Bournemouth, Burnley drew goalless with Huddersfield Town, Swansea City shockingly dropped points at home against Watford Tottenham Hotspur held on to see off Andre Ayew's West Ham 3-2 away from home.

With Chelsea facing the prospect of three games in seven days, Conte knows he will have to rotate his squad and believes he is now able to call on Hazard from the start, rather than manage him carefully from the bench. "Now it's important to rest well and prepare for another game against Atletico Madrid".

Chelsea's Alvaro Morata celebrates after scoring his team's third goal against Stoke City at Stoke-on-Trent on Saturday.

Relations between Costa and Chelsea manager Antonio Conte began to deteriorate in January when the striker reportedly had his head turned by a big-money offer from the Chinese Super League, which soon evaporated.

The Chelsea manager urged Morata to keep the good work going following his first hat-trick for the club.
