Conte urges Morata to show Costa aggression

An Alvaro Morata hat-trick, all scored with his feet, plus a Pedro goal secured the Blues a fifth straight away win.

"The story of our game is that when you go up against a side of the quality of Chelsea you have to make sure you don't have these catastrophic defensive moments and we had at least three", Hughes said.

In fact, against the run of play and latching onto a awful back pass by Darren Fletcher, Pedro snatched the ball and thumped a beauty of a right-footer past a desperately diving in vain Butland to put the champions 2-0 up with 15 minutes left of the first half.

They struggled to deal with Chelsea's pressing and counter-attack game, but there were also lapses in concentration, with Fletcher's chest-back and Glen Johnson being caught in possession both resulting in Chelsea goals.

"Today we started very well and then we were very good to suffer.

Now the player is OK and is ready to play the next game in the Champions League [against Atletico Madrid]".

Hughes rested a lot of players in the midweek Carabao Cup tie against Championship side Bristol City and subsequently lost 2-0. Vardy then squandered a chance to secure the Foxes a draw when his penalty was saved by Simon Mignolet.

"Don't forget after two and a half days we have to play another important game against Man City".

With eight minutes left, Morata completed his hat-trick when Azpilicueta chested the ball into his path. Morata still needs to prove he can mix it against the best teams in the league if he is to be an adequate replacement for Costa, however, certainly has more strings to his bow than just scoring.

Chelsea coach Antonio Conte is not only impressed by Alvaro Morata on the pitch performance but believes the Spaniard is a ideal material one could have for In- in-law.
