Mark Hughes: Chelsea will miss Diego Costa's 'dark arts'

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has dropped Gary Cahill to the bench for the Blues' Premier League clash with Stoke.

Former Chelsea (and Manchester United) striker Mark Hughes is one of the latest converts to the School of 3-4-3, but he might have to rethink his plans for Saturday's match against Chelsea with just one senior center back available to him.

Ahead of a midweek Champions League meeting with Atletico Madrid, the Italian has also opted to leave Eden Hazard among the substitutes.

"Maybe they don't have that ability with the dark arts right on spec at the moment".

It's a shame from a football fans' point of view. His regular starters keep dropping like flies and while Kurt Zouma is healthy, he's ineligible to play against his parent club.

"There's a major doubt on Kevin Wimmer - he's touch-and-go, and we'll have to see how he is this (Friday) morning".

The home side, meanwhile, are hoping to replicate the success that they enjoyed against Arsenal, when they won 1-0 in August - their sole Premier League victory to date this season.
