Take Care of the Ball - The Nittany Lions have already forced nine turnovers through the first three games of the season. Barkley is averaging 8.1 yards per carry, 21.9 per catch and 26.8 per kickoff return, presenting the Hawkeyes with a unique challenge that has coach Kirk Ferentz scrambling for superlatives. But teams have run well on the Hawkeyes. I always want to be on top of my game, but there is a unique atmosphere and usually a pretty good opponent when we do get the chance to plat night, " Jewell said. Juwan Johnson is a matchup problem for Iowa, though. While there wasn't a player of Saquon Barkley's caliber on the field for Penn State in that game, you can bet he'll be a factor in this one. If anyone can solve the riddle, they can.

Firstly, without stopping Barkley, this game is going to be a complete nightmare, quite like a year ago. None of their starters weigh in at more than 310 pounds, in fact.

Only Vanderbilt has stingier than Penn State's defense, which has allowed just 4.7 points a game. Last year, Iowa stunned No. 2 MI 14-13. Nathan Stanley has thrown for 655 yards and 10 touchdowns this season while Akrum Wadley has run for 258 yards and a score.

Penn State will be back in action Sunday, Sept. 24 at 12 p.m. when the Nittany Lions host No. 9 MI in their annual Pink Game at Field Hockey Complex.

With preseason All-America tight end Mike Gesicki, a deep stable of wide receivers and a more experienced offensive line, the Lions' potential is vast."Show me a weak spot on their offense", Ferentz said.

Penn State's defense has given up a lot of yards while teams have owned time of possession, but ultimately most of the drives have faltered. They've been solid, but not spectacular. "You can't give up, and guys have stepped up".

Offensive tackle Andrew Nelson, whose Penn State career has been derailed on more than one occasion by injuries, is hoping that he can stay healthy for the remainder of his final season as a Nittany Lion. Linebacker LeVar Woods - now the tight ends coach - returned a blocked field goal attempt for a touchdown. Penn State has a decided edge in the punting game with sophomore Blake Gillikin.

All Eyes on Me: Iowa Twitter began speculating after their week 2 win at Iowa State that ESPN's College Gameday would be coming to Iowa City for the Hawkeyes' match up with #4 Penn State Saturday night. For some odd reason, Iowa pitched to Wadley. But, again, Penn State is covering kicks as well as anybody in the country right now.

One key injured player that made the trip is cornerback John Reid, who tore his ACL in the spring.

In that span, the Nittany Lions will host No. 8 Michigan in a "white-out" night contest on October 21, then visit No. 10 Ohio State on October 28 and the east's other consistent threat, Michigan State, on November 4. He also said he feels he can still be faster, quicker, more explosive. The way Iowa has to play, it has to prevent a shootout.

The event will feature 13 other schools including Bucknell, Columbia, Delaware, Harvard, Maryland, Ohio, Penn, Princeton, Rutgers, Seton Hall, South Florida, Yale and the host team, Penn State. That said, the Hawkeyes are uniquely set up to do what, traditionally, works when it comes to slowing down an offense this explosive. The Hawkeyes will need to limit the turnovers and the momentum changes that come with them.

"I'm trying to think of the last time we played a back like this", Ferentz told reporters. It just won't be enough.
