Add in the fact that the Warriors were able to take care of the contracts of Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Andre Iguodala, Shaun Livingston and Javale McGee, and the team should hit the ground running when training camp begins Monday.

So how does he feel now, with the new season just around the corner? "As Vin Scully once said, 'We're all day-to-day'".

Three months removed from the franchise's second National Basketball Association title in the last three seasons, the Golden State Warriors held their annual media day on Friday.

But Kerr missed 11 of those playoff games with back issues. "I'm confident that I will be 100 percent at some point - hopefully, sooner rather than later". Kerr said he believes the team will be improved this year.

Kerr missed a good portion of Golden State's playoff run dealing with painful symptoms that kept him from being with his team. "We're deeper. As I talked about, the continuity is really important".

The Warriors have reached the NBA Finals in three consecutive seasons, and they are 57-100 or minus-175 favorites (bet $175 to win $100) to repeat as champions in 2017-18, according to OddsShark. "It's a long haul, so we're going to have to navigate the season, pace ourselves but not lose our edge, and that's the balance we're looking for".
