After speculation about who will feature in the Tamil remake of the Kangana Ranaut-starrer Queen (2014), the makers yesterday confirmed that Kajal Aggarwal will reprise the role. And now, the film's name has been revealed along with its first look. Ramesh Aravind, who will be directing Kajal in the remake, shared the first look on his timeline and said: "Happy to direct Paris Paris starring Kajal Aggarwal". Her resume is strengthened by Telugu films such as Chandamama and Magadheera.

While the film is a remake, Arvind at the movie's launch on Sunday emphasised that he retained the spirit of the original but has had to revamp the characters and the locations to where the remake is set.

The actress intervened and gave this befitting reply when a reporter asked the film's director Ramesh Aravind whether a commercial heroine like Kajal would justify National Award winning Kangana Ranaut's towering performance. A newcomer called Shashi Varun will take over Rajkummar Rao's role in both the remakes. The story will be set in Virudhunagar and will travel to Paris and then Barcelona and London. The film was directed by Vikas Bahl.

Kajal Aggarwal was last seen in Tamil film Vivegam, co-starring Ajith Kumar, Vivek Oberoi and Akshara Haasan. In 2017, she featured in two successful Telugu films Khaidi No. 150, co-starring Chiranjeevi and Nene Raju Nene Mantri with Rana Daggubati.
