People have until October 25, 2017 to submit an AR photo of a Pokémon and share it via Instagram with the hashtag #POKEMONGOCONTEST.

The prizes aren't exactly overwhelming, so this one is mostly for fun. We're asking, because Niantic is holding an in-app augmented reality photography contest for all players where Pokémon Go has been officially released. There will be ten winners, each of which will receive a Pokémon GO Plus device, a poster signed by Niantic and wireless Bluetooth ear buds. Use your surroundings and pretend like you're playing a new version of Pokemon Snap and take shot after shot to get the best picture possible.

The contest is open to residents of most countries, but there are some exceptions listed in the rules.

It's a global competition, so the full set of rules is about as lengthy as an worldwide arms treaty, but some key exclusions include taking the photo on private property without permission, showing an identifiable person or including third-party branding.
