Mika Singh urges Punjab government to rescue woman from Saudi Arabia

Forced to work as a slave and stay in Dawadmi city of Saudi Arabia, a Punjab women has accused her employers of physical abuse and expressed fear that she that she might be killed.

Accusing her employers of beating her on several occasions, she also claimed that she is not being given food for many days and is kept locked inside a room.

In her video message, the woman has plead to be rescued from the clutches of her abusive employers. "But I appeal to all Punjabis if they want to go in these countries, they should first enquire about their working conditions and other necessary things". Please help me. I am badly trapped here. In a Tweet, Swaraj asked the Indian embassy to help the woman in distress. It's been a year since she shifted and since then she is tolerating torture each day. Please take me out from here. Though I approached the local police, the cops did not help me.

In the video, she says, "I came here (Saudi Arabia) to earn some money but am living in miserable conditions".

A video, in which the woman is narrating the horrific torture in Saudi Arabia, has gone viral on social media.

"Javed - please reach her at the earliest", the external affairs minister wrote on Twitter in an apparent reference to the Indian embassy in Riyadh.
