Max Browne's season with Pitt is over before the midway point of October. Last week, he injured his shoulder vs. Syracuse, and it was announced Thursday that he's out for the remainder of the season, via Brian Batko of the Post-Gazette.

"It's not a great thing for our program, it's not great for him, but he's hanging in there and he's good", Narduzzi said of Browne.

The injury ends the college career of the graduate transfer, who played at USC before joining the Panthers prior to this season. He opened the 2016 season as the Trojans starter and was displaced by Sam Darnold after USC started 1-2. DiNucci (6'2/220) has made one previous start this season, completing 12-of-19 passes for 110 yards and a touchdown in a loss to Georgia Tech back on September 23.

DiNucci is 36-of-65 passing for 442 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.
