"It's understandable that people seem so invested in our relationship", she added, saying, "All I can say about that is, it's all true, that we truly adore each other, and we love each other, I think it still comes through".

'We watched each other grow, and he still cracks me up all the time. "And I think I crack him up - unless he's a really good actor and great at faking laughter".

Many were surprised to learn that Pratt and Faris - who delighted fans for years with their closeness on red carpets and syrupy social media posts - were breaking up.

Pratt even penned the foreword of the book.

Along with singing her praises, the Jurassic World star writes in the book that he and Faris will be "just fine" and plan to move forward by continuing to "amicably co-parent a human" together.

Faris admitted the timing of the book hitting shelves isn't ideal, but is looking on the bright side.

Anna's book "Unqualified" is out later this month, and about the timing of the release in conjunction with her split, she said, "At first I thought, 'Oh my gosh, this is insane timing, '" she says of the book coming out just months after the split.

"The idea of all this happening and culminating with the book as well, it was like, 'Oh boy, how do I frame this?'" she said. The said in their statement announcing the split that they wanted to keep details of the separation private for his sake.

"We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another". They tied the knot in July 2009 and welcomed their son Jack in August 2012.
