Square Enix has announced that the upcoming online multiplayer expansion for Final Fantasy XV is now delayed to Early November.

Final Fantasy XV Comrades is a multiplayer expansion that is set during the ten years when Noctis is sleeping in the crystal while the world suffers with a bad plague transforming it into darkness. The reason for the extra waiting time seems to be some last minute adjustments the team sees necessary to make in order to deliver the best possible experience.

Series creator Hironobu Sakaguchi honored the anniversary in a short video from Square Enix, saying, "This is a momentous occasion. We're sorry for any inconveniences this has caused but as soon as we can confirm the new FFXV Comrades release date, we'll let you know".

"Set in a world engulfed by darkness, the expansion casts players as a member of the Kingsglaive, with powers and unique abilities invoked from various Lucian kings, who join forces to bring the Light back to the kingdom of Lucis". It's also got a mobile version too in the works if you need to play the Final Fantasy road trip game while on the go. Recently, a beta test was also held for the expansion on the PS4 and Xbox One.
