'Several people injured' after knife attack at Munich underground station

Witnesses say the man was seen escaping on a black bike and was around 40-years-old, wearing grey pants, a green jacket and carrying a backpack and sleeping mat.

The male suspect was wearing a green sports jacket with grey pants and fled on a black bicycle a police spokesman said.

The perpetrator appeared to be about 40 years old and had a black bicycle, grey pants, a green jacket and a backpack. He reportedly targeted his victims in four or five different locations around Munich.

According to reports, a number of people have been wounded after an individual brandishing a knife attacked bystanders in an underground station in the Rosenheimer Platz area of the city.

At this stage, any possible motive for the attack is unclear, police added. We will report further, once we have secured information'.
