CM Punjab anticipates 'Dolphin Force' to help improve police image

Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday said that the Dolphin force has been formed for safeguarding the China Pakistan Economic Corridor projects making their way in the Punjab.

A total of 696 cops of the Dolphin Force passed the training college after completion of their months-long training.

The CM inspected the parade and contingents of the force presented a salute to the chief minister. He also gave prizes to the police officials who displayed excellent performance.

Shehbaz Sharif expressed his hope that the same level of quality service can be expected from the force.

Moreover, the chief minister anticipated that the force would set examples with regard to rooting out crimes in the province. "I hope this force will set a similar standard of Turkish smart policing here", CM Sharif anticipated. He said protection of life and property of the public is the basic responsibility of the state and for this goal all-out resources are being provided to the police and other security institutions.

He also said that the Punjab government has established anti-terrorism department which is working excellently.

He said the Turkish authorities extended full support in forming the force in Punjab. He said street crime in Lahore has reduced due to the Dolphin Force and street crime in other cities will also decrease after the expansion of Dolphins in those districts. Punjab Assembly Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah, provincial ministers, lawmakers and senior police officials were also present on the occasion.
