That just happened to me when I saw this picture of an Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake.

As we revealed about two months ago, the Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake is one of several limited-edition models that have had famed Italian styling studio Zagato play a part in their respective development programs.

The Shooting Brake retains its two-door layout, as well as its two seats and grand-touring goal.

The Zagato Shooting Brake was originally unveiled back in August but this is the first time we've got some proper imagery for it. Each auto - this one, the Shooting Brake, plus Zagato Volante, Coupe and Speedster - are based on the Vanquish coupe.

The auto features the design house's trademark double-bubble style roof, which extends out till the rear end of the vehicle and also features glass inlays.

There are no further details on performance or specifications, but motor1.com does know the vehicle will feature the same naturally aspirated, 5-litre V12 petrol engine used in the standard Vanquish and be married to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

While Aston is yet to announce pricing, interested buyers have already missed out with all 99 Shooting Brakes pre-sold to loyal collectors.
