HTC is holding an event next week, on November 2 to be precise, for the unveiling of at least one new smartphone.

Today the Taiwanese company has released a new teaser image for the event, showing us a handset that has the design language of the U series, but the fingerprint scanner on the back - unlike past members of the family.

The smartphone has already been subjected to multiple leaks.

If the latest reports are anything to go by, the U11 Life will be an Android One version of the HTC U11. So we already know what the HTC U11 Plus will be bringing to the table. It revealed that the smartphone has very small bezels on the sides and thin bezels at the top and bottom.

Furthermore, it will sport a 6-inch WQHD+ display bearing an aspect ratio of 18:9. It will pack a 12-megapixel main camera with f/1.7 aperture and dual flash.

Both the models will be powered by Snapdragon 835 chipset and will have a microSD card slot for expanding storage.

The HTC U11 Plus will be up for grabs in two storage variants including a 4GB RAM/64GB internal storage option and an alternative 6GB RAM/128GBoption.

A 3,930mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support will keep the lights on and the phone will run on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. We mentioned a few months ago the flagship smartphone will be updated to Android 8.0 Oreo as soon as ready. The highlight of the device was its Edge sense feature that lets people squeeze the smartphone to set certain commands and functions.
