You know, in a totally not big headed way.

KJ Apa and his Riverdale character Archie Andrews may seem like they have a lot in common, what with the whole working out obsession and natural gift for music, but KJ is now ready to distance himself from him. Of course, we're still relieved that Apa is okay after his recent auto crash, when he fell asleep at the wheel after driving home from set. And fans continue to wonder if Apa and costar Camila Mendes are dating IRL, not just on TV.

In a new interview, the breakout Riverdale star gets candid about what he really thinks of Archie's abilities, whether he is jamming with Josie & the Pussycats or strumming heartfelt songs at the high school talent show. Somehow I have to say that in not a cocky way, but he's a novice. "I do not have the same taste in music as him".

"I don't know how to say it, but we're not at the same level, you know what I mean?" he said. "I'm into harder stuff than Archie is". Fun fact: For his Riverdale audition, Apa played an electric guitar version of the hit song "Mary Had a Little Lamb". We love this - and we'd also love to see it! "It was definitely dipping out of my comfort zone". The track comes from a brief era when real, full Archies albums were actually produced (in the late-60s and early-70s) and were quite popular.
