Facebook Watch has set the premiere date for Bill Murray and Brian Doyle-Murray's Extra Innings, an unscripted series about minor league baseball hosted by the comedy brothers.

Doyle-Murray described the show as "a little something to fill a baseball fan's off-season hole in the heart", Variety reported. In addition to being a diehard Cubs fan, the actor also has a hand in two different organizations: He serves as part-owner and "team psychologist" for the independent St. Paul Saints and part-owner and "Director of Fun" for the Class A Charleston RiverDogs, positions he treats with the seriousness and rigor they deserve. The 10-episode digital series will debut Monday, November 20, with new episodes available weekly on Mondays. "And like a baseball bench-clearing brawl, no one got hurt!" "I thought that traveling with the Murray Brothers to games around America would be a fun, cool show and so did they". The show also features a visit to Kansas City to see MLB's Urban Youth Academy and the fantastic Negro Leagues Baseball Museum. The series is from Oso Studios, co-creator of Showtime's Mike Judge Presents: Tales From the Tour Bus.

The first season of Extra Innings will consist of ten episodes. "Facebook is a great place for this show", Cornett said. The theme song, "The Thing About Baseball", was written by Paul Shaffer and the Murray brothers and is performed by Bill Murray.

"It was like being on a vacation, in a weird way", he added.

You know the guy's a true fan when he talks about the empty feeling we all have when baseball goes away for six months.
