Coyotes trade Domingue to Lightning for McGinn, Leighton

The Tampa Bay Lightning acquired Louis Domingue from the Arizona Coyotes on Tuesday for fellow goaltender Michael Leighton and forward Tye McGinn, the teams announced. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound goaltender has played in 84 career National Hockey League games, all with Arizona over the past four seasons, compiling a record of 27-41-7 to go along with a 3.00 goals-against average and.906 save percentage with two shutouts. He hasn't played in the National Hockey League since 2015-16 when he skated in two games with the Lightning. He has appeared in 111 career games for the Chicago Blackhawks, Nashville Predators, Philadelphia Flyers and Carolina Hurricanes. The 27-year-old Ontario native has nine goals and eight assists in 89 career contests with the Flyers, Coyotes, San Jose Sharks and Lightning.

Hailing from Fergus, Ont., McGinn is a veteran of 89 National Hockey League games over four National Hockey League seasons with the Coyotes, Flyers, San Jose Sharks and Lightning. He was playing for the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League this season and had recorded two goals and three assists in 11 games.
