Traditional Peruvian shamans and witchdoctors have put a curse on the All Whites ahead of tomorrow's World Cup playoff in Lima.

The All Whites need a victory or a scored draw to advance to the 2018 Fifa World Cup in Russian Federation.

According to El Comercio, Peru president Pedro Pablo Kuczynski has announced that November 16, the day after the game, will be a non-working holiday if their national team can get the job done against New Zealand at Estadio Nacional de Lima on Wednesday (Thursday NZT).

In case Peru defeats New Zealand in such clash, the national team will earn a ticket to a World Cup for the fifth time in history.

Peru are aiming to secure a berth in their first World Cup finals since 1982 while New Zealand are seeking a fourth appearance at football's premier event and first since 2010.
