Stanley Johnson: I didn't tell Boris I'd signed up for the Jungle

The dad-of-six, 77, is the latest name to join the star-studded I'm A Celebrity line-up.

'We were told strictly not to tell anybody...

'Boris doesn't know I'm going.

Stanley Johnson looked in high spirits as he made his way through Brisbane Airport, even giving photographers a thumbs up.

Stanley is no stranger to television either, having been one of the very first regular hosts of More4's The Last Word, appeared on various political debate shows, and even shown his face on Have I Got News For You. Knowing Boris, he may never find out, ' he said.

He said: "It'll be easy peasy".

When asked about calls for his son's resignation over the Iranian affair, Stanley pleaded ignorance, saying he'd "been out of touch for three weeks". I'm in there to win'.

The former MEP will be sharing a camp with celebs including boxer Amir Khan, Saturdays' singer Vanessa White and Coronation Street actress, Jennie McAlpine.

Comedian Shappi Khorsandi, YouTube personality Jack Maynard, ex-footballer Dennis Wise and Rebekah Vardy, the wife of footballer Jamie Vardy, will also take part in the programme.
