Whether you wanted it or not, a remake of Mel Gibson's What Women Want is on the way and it's set to star Taraji P. Henson. After all, What Women Want isn't exactly one of Gibson's best-remembered films, and critics at the time weren't very kind to it overall.

Now, Deadline reports that Paramount Players is fast tracking the aforementioned gender-flipped remake, simply titled What Men Want.

The original pic was directed by Nancy Meyers and starred Mel Gibson as a NY ad exec who, after a freak accident, is able to read women's minds and uses the new ability to move ahead both professionally and personally.

Nancy Meyers directed the popular 2000 romantic-comedy with Gibson as Nick Marshall, a New York City executive who is given the ability to read women's minds due to a freak accident.

In this version, Henson would play a female sports agent who has been constantly boxed out by her male colleagues.

Helen Hunt starred in the flick as Gibson's love interest. Once she's acquired the ability to hear the thoughts of men, she uses it to try and level the playing field, and sign the next big National Basketball Association superstar.

The movie has already slated a January 11, 2019, release date. She is also set to star in upcoming thriller Proud Mary to be released January 2018.
