The RSI, or Relative Strength Index is a popular oscillating indicator among traders and investors. The RSI was developed by J. Welles Wilder. Traders may use these levels to help identify stock price reversals. The normal reading of a stock will fall in the range of 30 to 70. As a general rule, an RSI reading over 70 would signal overbought conditions. Used as a coincident indicator, the CCI reading above +100 would reflect strong price action which may signal an uptrend.

iShares Russell 1000 Growth ETF (the Fund), formerly iShares Russell 1000 Growth Index Fund, is an exchange-traded fund (ETF). Active investors may choose to use this technical indicator as a stock evaluation tool. The CCI may be used to spot if a stock is entering overbought (+100) and oversold (-100) territory. Using the CCI as a leading indicator, technical analysts may use a +100 reading as an overbought signal and a -100 reading as an oversold indicator, suggesting a trend reversal.
