Coach Dirk Koetter emphasized the organization has not discussed the possibility of shutting Winston down, per the Tampa Bay Times, saying he still expects the third-year passer to return this season.

As if fears weren't heightened enough about the health of Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston, who will be shelved the next two weeks to let his injured right throwing shoulder heal, he revealed a visit Tuesday to see renown orthopedic surgeon Dr. James. That's what the plan is. "I know Jameis is planning on playing again and there's been no discussion between [general manager Jason Licht], myself of him not playing again. That would all be something that would have to come up in the future".

The Bucs quarterback originally suffered a sprained AC joint in his right (throwing) shoulder against the Arizona Cardinals on October 15, but he continued to play through it before being benched last week. He was completing 61.4 percent of his passes for 1,920 yards, 10 touchdowns and six interceptions before suffering the injury.

With the win, the Bucs have now improved to 6-3 overall but certainly have their work cut out for them if they truly want to turn their season around and punch a ticket to the post season for the first time since 2007. After missing Sunday's win over the New York Jets, Winston has already been ruled out for Week 11 against the Miami Dolphins.

"From what I know, I do", Koetter said. If the opportunity ever presented itself, it would be good while we have this situation to get Ryan Griffin into a game and he's been doing well in practice. "It would have to be the right opportunity and we'll have to see if that ever comes up or not".
