Superman (Henry Cavill), and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) have already been introduced and given in-universe backstories, which will allow Snyder's Justice League to introduce audiences to the rest of the world's finest heroes - Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Fisher), and Flash (Ezra Miller) - before they each go off and headline their own solo movies.

Last we reported, Cyborg was rumored to be one of four DC pics eyeing a release in 2020, where the Victor Stone solo movie would join Green Lantern Corps, Suicide Squad 2 and, presumably, The Batman, which is now coming by way of Matt Reeves. James Wan's Aquaman movie is the next DC film on the docket to release, with the Flashpoint movie still without a release date but actively searching for a new director. As far as Cyborg is concerned, there have been speculations surrounding it ever since it was announced.

Ray Fisher, in a recent interview expressed his ignorance on the status of a solo Cyborg movie and said that if it were to happen, he would want his character to fight with Phantom Limbs.

Speaking with Popcorn Talk, Fisher went into how he'd like to approach the planned solo flick, explaining: "With this kind of story, I'd love to see it be a little bit more intimate, a little bit more specific to Cyborg".

Regardless of when it arrives, Fisher wants to see his Justice League member lock horns with the Phantom Limbs, a group of mercenaries armed to the teeth with cybernetically-enhanced weapons. "I think seeing him take on people who have similar abilities but [are] a much more finely-tuned group of warriors - seeing how that all would turn out, I think would be really special".

It is interesting that Ray mentioned the Phantom Limbs since regular moviegoers are not very familiar with this villain. The special debuted in 2008, with the Phantom Limbs team only appearing in issues #5 and #6. Though it's right on the horizon, that hasn't stopped Fisher from looking to the future and the planned solo "Cyborg" movie, now set for release in 2020.
