Yohan Cabaye admits Crystal Palace missed Wilfried Zaha during his two-month injury spell and has hailed the winger's impact since returning.

Zaha has emerged as a potential January transfer target for the Gunners as the speculation about Sanchez's future at The Emirates continues.

The north London side have been linked with a move to sign Zaha as a possible replacement for Sanchez, who Arsenal could move to sell in January rather than risk losing him on a free next summer.

After an unsuccessful effort to see Cote d'Ivoire through to the Russian Federation 2018 World Cup, Zaha will be hoping for better fortune when Crystal Palace host Everton in their next English Premier League encounter on Saturday.

Zaha scored seven goals and laid on nine assists as Palace narrowly escaped the drop last season, but Parlour, who spent 12 years at Arsenal before joining Middlesbrough in 2004, is not sure if the former England youth global is capable of mirroring Sanchez's past returns - the vaunted Chile worldwide struck 24 goals and created 10 more as Arsenal missed out on the top four last season.

Speaking to talkSPORT on Monday, Parlour said: "He's a player that can run at you, he's got great pace".

"But I think it will improve and in a better team you might get more out of him".

"Whether Zaha will be the man, I don't think he scores as many goals as he should do because he gets in some really good areas. He can change a game for you, like he has done in recent weeks for Palace".
