TCS announces Internet of Things digital transformation partnership with Rolls-Royce

Tata Consultancy Services and Rolls Royce, the market leader in high performance power systems, today announced expansion of their long-standing partnership in order to exploit future data innovation opportunities.

"Accelerating digital transformation. We've partnered with TCS to find new ways of delivering value to our customers", said Rolls Royce in a tweet on Wednesday.

British Multinational Rolls Royce has partnered with Indian IT services giant Tata Consultancy Services to bolster its digital sphere for the customers in various industry verticals.

This digital transformation for Rolls-Royce would be supported by TCS' Connected Universe Platform, a platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offering, that accelerates the development and deployment of Internet of Things (IoT) applications, he said.

TCS as part of the agreement will furnish IoT capabilities to Rolls Royce for enhanced productivity.

"Our relationship with TCS has enabled us to scale our services globally and realise operational efficiencies as we grow and transform our business", said Deepak Kaul, chief information officer, Zebra Technologies. TCS's Connected Universe Platform with its services and solutions offer a wealth of functionalities that will allow Rolls-Royce to more easily develop, deploy, and launch products and services to the market quickly. TCS has also recently opened a new customer delivery centre in Derby, UK, dedicated to servicing Rolls-Royce, and also will be supporting from its Global Delivery Centres Rolls-Royce sites across the UK, Germany, Nordics, Canada, Singapore and India.
