According to Troughton-Smith, using the A10 Fusion chip with macOS would allow Apple to "experiment with tighter control" over the desktop operating system without frustrating devs or users. More importantly, Guilherme Rambo has found references to "hey Siri" support - as with Cortana on Windows 10, you might not have to click an icon or invoke a keyboard shortcut just to ask about the weather. If the code is anything to go by, it looks like the iMac Pro will feature an A10 Fusion chip with 512 MB of RAM.

While we don't yet have an exact release date for the iMac Pro, Apple has said it will be out by the end of the year. Apparently, the feature is even going to work if your iMac Pro is switched off, thanks to a separate A10 Fusion chip, the same processor that launched inside the iPhone 7. However, this does show that Apple is putting its mobile experience to use in the computer realm, even if it's just to save power and processing overhead. "T8010 is Apple's A10, IIRC". And the iMac Pro may be a good testbed for this functionality. If true, this will be the first time that a Macbook will have an A series chip.
