The game will be broadcast by NBC beginning at 2:30 p.m. Central (3:30 p.m. Eastern).

Miami blasted Notre Dame last week.

The Fighting Irish are 8-2, while the Midshipmen are 6-3. Navy won last year's meeting 28-27 in Jacksonville, Florida. He didn't commit a turnover, and if Wimbush can limit his errors the way he did Saturday, Notre Dame's offense hums.

Notre Dame: LB Te'von Coney. "You have to score touchdowns".

In the 82nd minute, Notre Dame's Natalie Jacobs scored on a penalty kick, giving the Fighting Irish the lead, 2-1. After kicking a field goal with 7:28 left, Notre Dame never saw the football again as Navy ran out the clock.

Against Miami, Notre Dame totaled just 261 yards, including 109 rushing, almost 216 yards below its average.

Abey, the original starter this season, did not play last week while recovering from a sore left shoulder he hurt during the fourth quarter of a 34-26 loss to Temple on November 2 at Lincoln Financial Field, also the site of this year's Army-Navy game.

With 20 seconds left, Navy's second drive of the quarter ended with a missed 37-yard field goal attempt by White. Zach Abey has rushed for 1,202 yards and 13 touchdowns while throwing for 717 yards and six touchdowns. There's also fullback Anthony Gargiulo, who had a career-high 145 yards in place of banged-up starter Chris High.

"Notre Dame is Notre Dame", he said.

Keivn Stepherson's second touchdown catch of the game, in the fourth, stood up as the decisive score.

After a poor start in the first quarter in which his passes repeatedly sailed, Wimbush bounced back strong and finished 9 of 18 for 164 yards and two touchdowns to Stepherson (five catches, 103 yards). For bowl-eligible Navy, which can't play in the American Athletic Conference Championship Game, beating Notre Dame is always a big deal. Notre Dame has outscored its foes 108-34 after takeaways.

No. 8 Notre Dame beat Navy on Saturday in South Bend, 24-17. Adams being healthy and back in form is huge for the Irish no matter where their postseason goes.

Join Irish coach Brian Kelly for weekly look at Notre Dame and he looks back on last week's 41-8 loss to Miami. Though their chances are slim for a playoff semifinal bowl (Rose or Sugar), the Irish could receive a berth in the Orange or Cotton. Navy's No. 1-ranked rushing attack (369.8 yards per game) was limited to 277 yards on 72 carries, or 3.8 yards per attempt. The schools, however, refused to end the series because during World War II, a time of declining enrollment at Notre Dame, Navy established a college training program in South Bend to keep Notre Dame operating. Navy's 46-44 triple-overtime victory in 2007 that ended the streak came in the same Notre Dame Stadium that Navy helped dedicate on October 11, 1930.
