Dileep's former wife, actor Manju Warrier has been named as a key witness in the case.

In the actress attack case, the Special Investigation team has filed supplementary charge sheet in the Angamaly Magistrate court.

Other than Manju Warrier, 50 witnesses from the film fraternity will be there.

According to reports, the voluminous chargesheet runs up to 650 pages. The charge-sheet also mentions 385 witnesses with 12 confidential statements.

The prosecution had accused that Dileep has violated the bail conditions and the court ruled that it is indeed a serious charge.

Besides Dileep Mesthiri Sunil, Advocate Pradeesh Chacko, Raju Joseph and Vishnu, the jail mate of first accused Suni are the persons newly included in the supplementary charge sheet. Meanwhile, two of the accused, identified as Vipin Lal and Civil Police Officer Aneesh, have turned approvers in the case.

Following the attack on the actress in her moving vehicle on February 17 this year, the entire Malayalam film fraternity gathered to express the solidarity with the survivors at Durbar Hall in Kochi. A few days after the news broke out, the prime accused Pulsar Suni was arrested by the police. As per the charge sheet, actor Dileep is the 8th accused in the case, it has been reported. However, rumours about Dileep's alleged involvement in the case began to do rounds.

Dileep had earlier denied that he knew Pulsar Suni. Police finding is that Dileep had vengeance against the attacked actress as he felt that it she who ruined his married life with Manju Warrier. "The victim (in the actor assault case) had purportedly passed on unnecessary details about him and his activities to his then-wife Manju". His bail application had been rejected four times earlier, with the courts observing that he was capable of influencing witnesses.
