Joel Embiid appeared to have frustrated Utah Jazz rookie Donovan Mitchell considerably during one possession in tonight's game.

Of course, no Joel Embiid moment is complete without cheering on the crowd.

During the Sixers' road trip, Embiid played some of the best games yet in his career, including a 46-point performance against the Lakers that served as a coming out party to any basketball fans who weren't yet aware of Embiid's dominant abilities.

Late in the fourth quarter, a doomed drive resulted in an Embiid block and Mitchell's body sliding across the floor.

The Jazz had cut a 21-point deficit to 11 and were down 92-79 with 4:13 left when rookie Donovan Mitchell drove the lane and Embiid emphatically swatted away his shot.

"The young kid in me kind of showed", Mitchell said. But a foul was called because the blatant, open-court contact.

After Mitchell fell underneath the basket, Embiid turned and jawed at him.

While on SportsCenter, Jemele Hill asked Embiid if he's concerned about other players having more motivation to go after him the more he trolls. "And then he just got up and kind of fake shoved me, and I flopped, and he got a technical for it".

Reporters broke out in laughter after he admitted to "flopping" so openly.

"It was all fun after the game". [Mitchell and I] shook hands.

The NBA is known for its legendary trash talkers, from Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett to current title-holder Draymond Green.
