Leeds youngster Bryce Hosannah was attacked by Rhyl's senior players following a firm tackle.

The fixture at Rhyl was called off in the second half after a melee saw both sides ordered to the changing rooms.

A video uploaded to Twitter showed the incident, in which Leeds's No 5 O'Connor has to duck a number of blows from Rhyl's No 4, named as Tony Davies on the team sheet, at the Corbett Sports Stadium.

Leeds coach Carlos Corberan reportedly removed his side from the field after a brawl broke out off the ball during the second half.

Corberan said: "We are always going to represent Leeds United with the correct behaviours and values".

"[I'm] proud of the players in the way they conducted themselves".

After the game, Rhyl released a short statement on their website...

It is reported the game was full of physical challenges between the two teams but no players are thought to have been injured.

No players were understood to have been hurt in the incident.

"The club will issue no further statement until the completion of this work".
