We've got movie sign! While this will be the second season of "Mystery Science Theater 3000" on Netflix, it will be the twelfth season of the show overall.

The announcement, which can be seen above, came at the conclusion of the annual Thanksgiving marathon of the show that runs on YouTube. "The Return" has officially been renewed for a new season at Netflix, Variety has learned.

The original incarnation of the show aired on Comedy Central for seven seasons, ending in 1997.

In late 2015, Hodgson started a highly-successful Kickstarter campaign to fund the new season, which through voracious fan contributions netted $5.7 million, a Kickstarter record. The campaign raised so much money, the team was able to make 14 new episodes, which were eventually picked up by Netflix for distribution. It's set on the Satellite of Love where a human host is trapped by mad scientists with his two robot sidekicks and forced to watch an endless run of B movies. Also co-starring Patton Oswalt, Rebecca Hanson, Hampton Yount and Baron Vaughn, the series features characters sitting in a theater making fun of old, low-budget movies.

Most of the producers will return for the new season, including Hodgson and lead writer Elliott Kalan along with Richard Foos, Bob Emmer, Garson Foos, Jonathan Stern and Harold Buchholz, according to the news release. The series is produced by Satellite of Love, LLC, Alternaversal Productions, LLC and Undiscovered North American Ape Pictures.
