That aspect has them thinking about possible trades and one includes them reportedly considering trading Tristan Thompson to the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for center DeAndre Jordan, according to Cleveland.com's Joe Vardon.

The 29-year-old Jordan, who can be a free agent after the season if he declines his $24.1 million player option for 2018-19, has recently been coming up in "multiple" trade conversations, per Tim Bontemps of the Washington Post.

Vardon wrote Cleveland would ponder acquiring Jordan if it believes doing so would help it get past the Golden State Warriors, even though he could only be a rental.

17 games into the season, Jordan is averaging 10.4 points, 13.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game for the Clippers.

His numbers are down compared to last season, when he put up 12.7 points, 13.8 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per contest. As for Thompson, he's now out for another week or so with a calf injury.

L.A.is 6-11 on Thanksgiving, and while it's still way too early to throw in the towel and give up on the playoff race, teams haven't backed away from showing interest in veteran center DeAndre Jordan.
