With the WH-1000XM2 and WI-1000X, the user gets "Atmospheric Pressure Optimizing" feature that uses sensors to detect the air pressure around and optimize the noise cancelling accordingly. Apart from noise cancelling, they come loaded with additional features, some of which are being claimed to be world's first in headphones. The company launched the successor of its MDR-1000X headphone, the WH-1000XM2 along with WH-H900N, WF-1000X and WI-1000X. Like it's predecessor, it's an over-the-ear, headband style set of noise cancellation headphones. The most intriguing feature which is also touted as a world first is "Atmospheric Pressure Optimizing Control" which will analyze the atmospheric pressure at an altitude to optimise the noise canceling performance. However, the WF-1000X is more or less equivalent to the Apple AirPods. The WH-1000XM2, WF-1000X, and WI-1000X ships with Sense Engine technology to provide an adaptive sound control based on the ambient surrounding environment.

Sony also unveiled a companion app called Headphones Connect App that detects the environment the user is using the headphones in, and also uses the accelerometer to detect user activity, to fine tune the listening experience for the user. The WI-1000X has a battery life of 10 hours while the WH-1000XM2 has a battery life of 30 hours - this is with noise cancellation enabled. Moreover, both the headphones have touch sensors which allow users to control volume, switch songs, play and pause audio with just a swipe on the earcup.

Of these, the WH-1000X and WI-1000X are already available in India and the other two will go on sale from December 14.

Also, two models such as the WH-1000XM2 and WH-H900N have the Quick Attention Mode offering a smart way to control the listening experience while the users are on the go. The headphones power up automatically connect to the last device they were paired with as soon as you take them out of their charging case which can keep the device charged for 9 hours.

The new Sony noise cancellation wireless headphones lineup consists of four models - WH-1000XM2 priced at Rs. 29,990, WH-H900N priced at Rs. 18,990, WF-1000X priced at Rs. 14,990, and WI-1000X priced at Rs 21,990.
