Honor 9 and Honor V9 receive Android Oreo update too

Huawei is also seeding the Android 8.0 Oreo update to its Honor 9 and Honor V9 handsets in China. This is the latest version of Huaweis Android customization, it is based on Android 8.0 Oreo. The Huawei Mate 9 MHA-AL00, Mate 9 Porsche Edition, Mate 9 Pro Full Netcom Version LON-AL00, and Mate 9 Full Netcom Version MHA-TL00 are supported.

The rollout has hit China and is soon expected to be released in other regions in the coming weeks.

Anyway, this new versions brings over numerous AI features that the the new Mate 10 brought. It also has a new dual ISP for AI-powered intelligent photography. The desktop mode, called Projection, is part of the update as well. Android Oreo has other features like including Background limits, installation of apps via APK, over 60 new emojis, notification dots, Wide-gamut colour for apps, Snoozing individual notification, Adaptive icons, Keyboard navigation, WebView enhancements and much more.

After downloading the Beta FUT app, you can sign in with your Huawei ID and start waiting for the over-the-air (OTA) Android 8.0 beta release.

Pricing and availabilityThe Huawei Mate 10 Pro is available in Titanium Grey for €749.99 PAYG and €49.99 on contract, exclusive to Vodafone. It is powered by a Kirin 960 octa-core SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB onboard storage options.
