The announcement comes after MI tied a program record with three regular-season night games in 2017.

This will be Notre Dame's first trip to Yankee Stadium since 2013, when the Irish downed Rutgers in the Pinstripe Bowl. Those games were played at MetLife Stadium, home of the NFL's New York Jets and Giants. Notre Dame will play at Navy in San Diego on October 27th then return to the midwest to play at Northwestern on November 3rd.

Additionally, Michigan is eligible to host one night game in 2018, after hosting two in 2017 (Michigan State, Minnesota), and will be exposed to the possibility of playing additional night games on the road. The Irish will then head back to the west coast to close out the regular season on November 24th at USC.

The game, scheduled for Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Indiana, will be televised nationally on NBC. The Ball State game on September 8th will kickoff at 3:30pm while the Vanderbilt game on September 15th will kickoff at 2:30pm.

Notre Dame's lone remaining home game, Pitt on October 13, is slated for 2:30pm ET on NBC.
