The Crimes of Grindelwald featuring Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander have been released. In a recent convo with EW, Redmayne confessed to having a slight injury arising perhaps out of his work on Fantastic Beasts. "It's from doing some quite hardcore wand action", Redmayne said.

Entertainment Weekly has revealed a brand new image of Eddie Redmayne in next year's Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald along with a great behind-the-scenes photo of the actor alongside Jude Law, who joins the Harry Potter prequel as a young version of Albus Dumbledore.

Old characters from the original Fantastic Beasts return, including Newt's love interest in America, Tina Goldstein (Katherine Waterston). Check out both photos below. It'll be the second of five new tales written by Potter author J.K. Rowling, and it sounds like it'll be a little more serious than the first.

"The first film had a level of whimsy; the characters felt like children in grown-up bodies", notes director David Yates. It's quite a romantic film, it's a thriller, it's quite an interesting combination of genres you rarely see together.

Are you excited for the Fantastic Beasts sequel? Surely we'll still get to see more of Newt's creatures in the movie, but I think there's a possibility that they won't be the main focus of the film.
